The Hare & Hounds at Northbourne is another very good country pub that serves a great range of real ales and home cooked foods. It was also the first pub in the area to go totally no smoking. Northbourne is well signposted from both Deal and Sandwich from the A258. |

As you come into Deal from
Sandwich on The A258 if you head down the London Road the first pub you
will come to is The Magnet, this is a Shepps house. They also have a motor
bike club here. The Deal
Motorcycle Club meets every Thursday, and raise loads of cash for
local charities. Below is Donna, the manager of The Magnet, below her
is Val the Landlady and to Val's right is John the Landlord. The pub also
has an Internet cafe and for just £1 you can drink and surf.

Another wonderfull Kent village
is Sholden, which is just off the main Deal to Sandwich Road. In this
village is The
Sportsman a really fine pub with loads of history to be seen once
inside. The beer and food is also very good, Green King IPA and London
Pride, I tasted them on my last visit and both in tip top condition.
